London: 3rd March – One of London’s best-selling exhibitions, The Formula 1® Exhibition, has closed its doors after a hugely successful six and a half month run. The Formula 1® Exhibition London also won the ‘Best Visitor Experience’ at the prestigious Access All Areas Awards, and has received critical acclaim throughout its run, including glowing reviews from both motorsport and national media including The Telegraph, Daily Mirror, Secret London, Motorsport.com and Daily Star.
The London show has been the biggest production of The F1® Exhibition to date, with a number of new additions, including seven iconic championship-winning Formula 1® cars, and historic memorabilia from the world of F1®.
Packed with extensive contributions from F1®’s greatest teams and drivers, it also had the biggest range of cars yet, which included Sir Lewis Hamilton’s 2018 Championship-winning Mercedes AMG F1 W09, Max Verstappen’s 2021 Championship-winning RB16B, 1981 Williams FW07-C, the legendary 1970 Lotus 72, Ayrton Senna’s 1988 title-winning McLaren MP4/4, Mika Häkkinen’s 1999 World Driver’s Championship winning McLaren MP4/14 and the iconic 1961 ‘Sharknose’ Ferrari 156.
Amongst those who attended the show was Formula 1® World Champion, Damon Hill. Speaking during his visit at the opening, he said: “It’s an exhibition of the excitement of the racing, the beauty of the cars. You see all the stories, you see the energy that has gone into it and all the passion. It’s a really worthwhile visit. You will come out amazed.”
Following successful runs for the exhibition’s European tour in Madrid, Vienna, and London, The Formula 1® Exhibition opens in a new location next month at De Kromhouthal Amsterdam, where fans will be able to explore the world of F1® from April 17th 2025.
Jonathan Linden, Co-CEO of Round Room Live and Producer of The Formula 1® Exhibition, said: “The Formula 1 Exhibition in London has been an extraordinary success, welcoming hundreds of thousands of fans to experience the sport’s rich history like never before. From the overwhelming visitor demand to winning ‘Best Visitor Experience’ at the Access All Areas Awards, the response has been truly phenomenal. We’re incredibly proud of what we achieved in London and look forward to taking this world-class exhibition to new audiences in Amsterdam next month, as we celebrate The Netherlands rich Formula 1 heritage, including the storied Zandvoort racetrack and an impressive legacy of F1 drivers, including of course, Max Verstappen.”
Details of the iconic Formula 1® cars and historic memorabilia from the world of F1® that are to be showcased at the Amsterdam Exhibition will be announced soon.
