Doors ready to open at The Formula 1® Exhibition in Vienna

Formula 1® Exhibition celebrating Austria’s  Grand Prix legacy opens 2 February in Vienna .

The Formula 1® Exhibition will open its doors to the public in Vienna on 2 February, following an official opening by Formula 1® CEO and President Stefano Domenicali.

Hosted at the METAStadt, Vienna, the show is a must-visit destination for all motorsports fans and followers, and demand for tickets has been huge, with the first few weekends set to sell out.

Boasting a wide range of exclusive contributions from the sport’s most legendary teams and personalities, highlights include six Formula 1® racing cars. New for Vienna is Max Verstappen’s 2021 FIA Formula 1® World Driver’s Championship winning car, the RB16B. Fans will also be able to get up close to the 2011 RB7, which Sebastian Vettel raced to 11 Grand Prix wins on Red Bull Racing’s way to a second Driver’s and Constructors Championship double.

The immersive experience takes visitors on a journey across seven purpose-built rooms, each specially designed in collaboration with award-winning curators, artists and filmmakers. Visitors start their journey by passing through Once Upon A Time In Formula 1®, where fans are transported through the sport’s most iconic and defining moments. New for Vienna is the addition of three iconic race cars, including Austrian racing driver Gerhard Berger’s 1988 Monza winning car, the Ferrari F187/88C.

The Drivers and Duels room has a race circuit inspired design and celebrates the most iconic drivers and legendary races since Formula 1® began, before visitors move to the Revolution By Design space featuring the dazzling breakthrough innovations in Formula 1® and explores the new technologies that lie ahead. The Design Lab then takes visitors inside a Formula 1® factory to explore the modern-day design, testing and manufacturing process.

The remains of Romain Grosjean’s burnt out HAAS race car from his dramatic 2020 crash in Bahrain hold centre stage in the Survival room, a show-stopping moment in homage to the pioneers and safety innovations in the sport.

New and exclusive for Vienna, is World Circuits: Red Bull Ring – a celebration of Austrian motorsport and the country’s Formula 1® heroes. The show then reaches its climax in The Pit Wall – a show-stopping cinematic and immersive experience that allows fans to relive the greatest moments in Formula 1® history like never before.
