The Formula 1® Exhibition is coming to Munich
Munich, 24 March 2026 – Following the tremendous success of The Formula 1® Exhibition in Oberhausen, which has so far attracted more than 150,000 visitors, the award-winning exhibition is making its next stop in Germany.

On 20 May 2026, the immersive exhibition will open at Pineapple Park in Munich, bringing legendary original Formula 1® cars, exclusive video, audio and photographic material, as well as spectacular installations and interactive experiences to the former parcel depot in the Bavarian capital. A must-see for fans, families and anyone looking to enjoy an extraordinary day out.
The Formula 1® Exhibition is the only officially licensed touring exhibition by Formula 1® and has previously been staged in major cities including Madrid, Vienna, London, Amsterdam, Toronto, Buenos Aires, and Melbourne, where it has captivated well over 1.3 million visitors in total. The meticulously curated exhibition was developed over several years in collaboration with teams, drivers, F1 personalities, engineers, historians, artists and filmmakers, offering in-depth insights into the history, technology and emotion of the championship series.
The arrival of The F1 Exhibition marks the show’s second German location and further celebrates the nation’s rich Formula 1 heritage – from world champions Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg, to iconic circuits such as the Nürburgring and Hockenheim, and powerhouse constructors like Mercedes and the sport’s newest entrant, Audi with German hero, Nico Hülkenberg.
Spanning approximately 3,000 square metres, the exhibition guides visitors through several themed rooms dedicated to the great stories, dramatic turning points and technical revolutions of Formula 1®. High-resolution projections, carefully designed spatial installations, exclusive archive material and authentic original exhibits bring the evolution of the sport from its beginnings to the present day vividly to life.
“Following the fantastic German debut in Oberhausen, it was clear that we wanted to bring the excitement of the F1 Exhibition to even more fans in Germany,” said Jonathan Linden, Co-CEO Round Room Live and producer of the Formula 1® Exhibition. “The city of Munich, with its deep history in the sport, and with its proximity to manufacturers involved in the World Championship such as Mercedes and Audi, as well as the striking Pineapple Park venue, is the perfect location to bring The F1 Exhibition to Munich.”
Highlights: Schumacher’s Mercedes and Verstappen’s Red Bull
Two standout highlights already confirmed for Munich are the original race cars of two F1® superstars from different eras: Michael Schumacher’s Mercedes W02 – the machine that he and compatriot Nico Rosberg used to lay the foundations for Mercedes-Benz’s eventual domination – and the Red Bull Racing RB16B, the car that carried Max Verstappen to the first of his four consecutive world championships. The show is further complemented by race cars and exhibits that tell key chapters of motorsport history and illustrate developments in design, engineering and safety.
Interactive and for all ages
The Formula 1® Exhibition combines spectacular audio and video design with a wide range of interactive and educational elements for visitors of all ages. Guests can immerse themselves in dedicated themed areas exploring topics such as the creative process behind the development of an F1® car, the greatest driver rivalries, technical revolutions and the enormous advances in safety. An audio guide leads visitors through the exhibition, offering background stories, insider insights and interviews with legends of the sport.
Hardcore Formula 1 fans can relive iconic moments and championship battles from a new perspective, while newcomers to the sport, technology enthusiasts and families can discover the world of F1 through original artefacts, interactive displays and compelling stories that delivers something for everyone.
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1, said:
“After the incredible response to the Formula 1 Exhibition in Oberhausen, we are delighted to announce Munich as the next stop on the European tour. Germany has a rich motorsport heritage and the arrival of Audi to the grid this season further deepens the sport’s connection with the country. F1 Exhibition has been a great success around the world, and we look forward to even more people experiencing the drama and excitement of Formula 1 in this latest installment.”
Christian Danner: “I’ve never experienced anything like it”
“With the Formula 1 Exhibition, the organisers have created something I have never experienced in this form before,” said former Formula 1 driver and television pundit Christian Danner. “I witnessed first-hand the joy and enthusiasm of the people in Oberhausen – among dedicated fans, families and newcomers to motorsport alike.”
