The Rooms

The exhibition includes six principle rooms, each specially commissioned for the show and produced in partnership with award-winning curators, artists, and filmmakers, offering a unique perspective on the extraordinary story of Formula 1.

Tracing the influences of Enzo Ferrari and Ayrton Senna to the unprecedented impact of Netflix’s Drive To Survive series, the exhibition combines an unprecedented mix of historic and modern-day race cars, previously unseen film and interviews, artefacts and interactive elements including racing simulators.

Terms and Conditions of Ticket Purchase

The official and only approved ticketing partners of this show are those listed on the event website ONLY. If any tickets are bought or sold through any other platform or secondary resale company, such as Viagogo, then the event organiser reserves the right to cancel the tickets. The ticket will IMMEDIATELY BECOME INVALID if resold OR OFFERED FOR SALE. The ticket is a personal, revocable license and, at all times, remains the property of the event organiser. This ticket must be surrendered to the event organiser upon request. If you have tickets and are unable to attend the event, then please get in touch with the ticket agent you purchased through before trying to resell any tickets through any of the aforementioned resale sites.

Group bookings

The Formula 1® Exhibition is able to accommodate group sales of 20 or more as well as host private events for groups of 50 or more. For more information, please fill out the contact form.

Companions/PA’s are welcomed at the exhibition and will be granted free admission (no ticket will be issued in advance). If you require the assistance of a Companion/PA we ask that you provide one of the following forms of documentation, to be shown on entry. This will act as evidence of your requirements. Without this documentation we will be unable to provide a complimentary Companion/PA ticket.

Accepted forms of documentation:

– Middle or Higher rate DLA for care and/or mobility.
– Receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
– Evidence of being severely sight impaired.
– CredAbility tickets Card – + 1 category requirement.
– A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card.

Please note that the visitor requiring assistance must have a valid ticket*.

* If the visitor is under the age of 5, in order to provide a companion/PA ticket free of charge, there does need to be at least 1 full priced adult ticket in the party.

ExCeL London has step-free access at both entrances of their venue.

Please alight at Custom House for the West entrance to the venue, Custom House (ExCeL London) station is fully accessible with lifts to take you from platform to bridge.

If you’re travelling by public transport, there are lifts at Prince Regent DLR Station. The lift will take you onto the footpath which leads into the venue.

Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor of the exhibition.

Yes, we accept assistance dogs (including ADUK, Training companies and owner trained), but proof of training is required and if the dog’s behaviour doesn’t meet the standards, then you will be required to leave.
Please contact [email protected] in advance if you are bringing an assistance dog with you. The Equality and Human Rights Commission states that “assistance dogs are highly trained” which means they:

– Will not wander freely around the premises.
– Will sit or lie quietly on the floor next to their owner.
– Are unlikely to foul in a public place.

All assistance dogs must always remain on the lead.

There is an English audio guide for the entire exhibition, except for the Survival room and Pit Wall, which have live sound.

There are no specific SEND sessions available to book at this time. Please email [email protected] if you would like to know quieter times to visit.

English transcripts will be provided for people who need visual support.

The F1® Exhibition is open seven days a week from 9am. Entry closes 30 minutes after the final timeslot begins.

From audio-visual spectaculars to elegantly curated displays, The F1® Exhibition provides a dazzling journey through one of sport’s most spectacular stories across six purpose-built rooms, each specially designed in partnership with award-winning artists, filmmakers and craftsmen.

The F1® Exhibition is a touring exhibition and will therefore only be in London for a short period of time. If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, we recommend booking as soon as possible so you don’t miss this interactive experience.

The exhibition is approximately a 90-minute experience (minimum), but you are welcome to stay and browse for as long as you like. Entry closes 30 minutes after the final timeslot begins.

The F1® Exhibition is a touring exhibition. Follow our social media accounts or sign up to our newsletter for future city announcements.

Visitors can experience what it’s like to sit behind the wheel of an F1 car with official Playseat® F1 racing seat. The seat and shape configuration mirrors the mannequin F1 driver positions which you learn about in the Drivers and Duels room. You have the opportunity to drive around Silverstone and get an automatic entry into our special prize draw. Each month those who have purchased and experienced the simulator will be entered into a draw to win a ticket to the Silverstone Grand Prix 2025! The winner will be announced at the beginning of the following month. Keep an eye on our socials for updates. *The prize is non-transferrable.

Simulator duration: Approximately 8-10 minutes

Age limit: 12+ (younger children will not be allowed to sit on an adults lap)

The Simulator is a unique experience brought to you by The F1® Exhibition. It is not the same as F1 Arcade, F1 Drive or Silverstone Museum’s simulator ‘ride’.

The experience is only suitable for guests of 12 years and older. Younger children will not be allowed to sit on an adults lap.

Entry into the exhibition closes 30 minutes after the final timeslot begins and takes around 90 minutes to explore. The experience is one way, no return.

Yes, strobe lighting will be used during the exhibition, which may affect customers who suffer from photosensitive epilepsy.

Yes. There will be a shop at the end of the exhibition selling many official products and a wide range of exclusive The F1® Exhibition items.

You can also visit the shop during our regular exhibition opening hours without a ticket to The F1® Exhibition.

Please note we are a cashless site throughout.

No food and drink are allowed to be consumed inside the exhibition. If you need to bring specific food or medicine due to a pre-existing medical condition then please supply the relevant supporting medical evidence.

There are limited vegan and gluten-free catering options within the main ExCeL boulevard but not within the exhibition itself. Restaurants in the main boulevard aren’t always open. Please check the ExCeL website for more information: https://www.excel.london/visitor/food-drink and plan ahead.

There are a selection of retail units in ExCeL London providing a diverse range of food and drinks. If you bring a reusable cup to the venue, you can enjoy discounts on some hot drinks at select retail outlets. There are free water refill points on the Boulevard close to the entrance to the venue. The audio for the exhibition is in English only. Written content is also available in English.

The exhibition will be held in an indoor venue.

Yes, there is air conditioning and heating if required.

Hand held cameras (including DSLR) can be brought into the exhibition and guests are welcome to take photos and share them. When taking photos, please make sure not to disturb other visitors. Tripods and professional accessories are not permitted.

The exhibition is a walk-through event. There are some benches in selected rooms.

There is a locker system (for a fee) for customers to leave bags or personal items should they wish to. Backpacks and large bags will not be allowed inside the exhibition.

There is no dress code but we advise customers to please dress comfortably as this is a walk-through, interactive exhibition.

If you misplace something within the exhibition please alert a member of staff and they will try to help you retrieve your belongings. If you think you have lost something at ExCeL London, please email [email protected]. Please be aware that once notified that lost property has been found, guests have up to 30 days to collect their item(s) before they are donated to a local charity.

The exhibition is accessible to all ages. However, there is a lot of reading. Parental discretion is advised when deciding if the exhibition will be suitable for your child.

Back packs and large bags will not be allowed inside the exhibition. We have a high number of chargeable lockers for you to store your bags and coats when you visit. You can reserve and pay for your locker via your phone by scanning the QR code as you enter the hall. Our onsite team will be happy to guide you should you require any assistance.

The dimensions of the lockers available are:

Large locker size: 60cm high x 50cm wide x 80cm deep
Meidum locker size: 45cm high x 30cm wide x 45cm deep

It is recommended that you arrive 15 minutes before your pre-booked session time.

The weather will not impact the exhibition as it is indoors.

We always aim to limit and reduce queuing outside the entrance. In the event of inclement weather, our team will work to ensure any queuing outside is minimised as much as possible.

Flash photography, prams and buggies, alcohol, smoking, vaping, anything which may disturb the other patrons.

The exhibition is a child-friendly environment.

Due to the nature of the exhibition being made up of artefacts, prams and buggies are not allowed to be brought into the exhibition. There is a small buggy park available but with very limited spaces. To avoid disappointment, we kindly ask where possible for prams and buggies to be left at home.

Toilets are located on the lower level of the exhibition.

There are baby changing facilities in the ground floor accessible toilet, and on level 0 in both the male and female toilets in the boulevard. In the ICC area (the East end of the venue) in the red blocks between S9/S10, N10/N11, the Prince Regent DLR East corridor and East Level 0, the baby change facilities are in the accessible toilets.

The family room can be found by the S9 boulevard entrance. It has two changing mats, chairs for breastfeeding, a microwave to heat up baby food and a bottle warmer. It also contains a sink and toilet.

If you are late or experience any travel issues, please speak to one of our stewards at our exhibition upon arrival and they will try and accommodate your booking at the next available slot. This is not guaranteed.

The exhibition is not suitable for animals.

ExCeL London has free to access and fast Wi-Fi, which is suitable for browsing, social media, and email. When you arrive at the venue, sign in to ‘_ExCeL FREE Wi-Fi’ and follow the instructions.

ExCeL London has a prayer room that can be accessed through the grey door next to the S9 entrance on the boulevard.

Ticket prices vary by date and time. Prices start from £14 per child (5-16 years), £25 per adult (17+) and VIP Podium Tickets from £70.50.

Podium VIP is our VIP package offering entry limited edition merchandise to our fans. Podium VIP is priced at one rate but varies depending on what time session you purchase. Prices start from £70.50.

No, if you purchased your ticket(s) through Fever, your contactless tickets will be delivered directly in the Fever App. If you purchase through Eventim, your ticket(s) will be delivered either in the Eventim app or/and emailed to you.

If you booked through Fever, you can find your ticket with the QR code in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don’t have it installed, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets.

If you purchased via Eventim, you will have received your tickets via email or through their app.

You may purchase the Simulator experience as an add-on only to any ticket to The F1® Exhibition purchased via Fever (subject to availability). One per ticket purchase only. If you exceed the ticket limit, the additional tickets will be cancelled without notice.

These are exclusively sold via Fever and not available to buy separately.

The Simulator must be purchased at the same time as your exhibition ticket. Unfortunately, you are unable to add the simulator to your booking at a later date.

Availability for the Simulator is limited, and tickets can only be booked alongside a ticket to the exhibition, and via Fever. We strongly recommend booking in advance.

If there are slots available when you visit, you will be able to purchase these on site. Simulator tickets are only available to Exhibition ticket holders. Simulator tickets on site will be priced at £17.50 per person on weekday mornings and all day Saturday and Sunday, or at £15 per person on weekday afternoons.

Yes, you can transfer your tickets to another person for free. Any queries relating to your ticket(s) should be directed at the ticket outlet you booked through.

Children under the age of 5 get free entry and don’t require a ticket. For children between the ages of 5-16, there are specially priced children’s tickets available. Tickets can be purchased on the Fever website and App, and the Eventim website.

Subject to availability, changes of date and/or time are permitted up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience. In such a case, please contact the outlet you booked your tickets through, indicating your ticket ID. Refunds are not allowed under any circumstances. For more information, please refer to the T&Cs of your booking. Any queries relating to your ticket(s) should be directed to the ticket outlet you booked through.
