THE FORMULA 1® EXHIBITION OPENS IN AMSTERDAM, APRIL 17 2025

The award-winning exhibition is set to open at De Kromhouthal in Amsterdam with exclusive and iconic Formula 1® cars, Formula 1® artefacts, simulator experiences and contributions from leading teams

 

Amsterdam, Netherlands: 07:30 – February 20th, 2025: Amsterdam has today been announced as the next city to host The Formula 1® Exhibition, following ground-breaking runs in Madrid, Vienna, Toronto and London. Register now and join the waitlist here for updates and exclusive pre-sale access.

 

Opening on April 17th 2025, at De Kromhouthal Amsterdam, The F1® Exhibition takes fans on an unparalleled journey through the fascinating world of Formula 1® – past, present and future.

 

Having received widespread critical acclaim, including the London show winning ‘Best Visitor Experience’ at the prestigious Access All Areas Awards, the Amsterdam exhibition will include soon-to-be-announced iconic Formula 1® cars and historic memorabilia from the world of F1®. The Dutch capital is the sixth city to host The F1 Exhibition, after Buenos Aires was announced last month as the first stop on a wider South American tour for the show starting in March.

Packed with extensive contributions from F1®’s greatest teams, drivers and experts, the exhibition is an immersive experience no F1® fan will want to miss.

 

The F1® Exhibition is also proud to announce former F1® driver and Dutch motorsport icon Robert Doornbos as its official ambassador. “As a Formula 1 fan and former F1 driver, I am honored to be part of this exhibition,” says Doornbos. “It’s incredible to offer fans such a unique experience and bring the magic of Formula 1 to life in this way.”

The Formula 1® Exhibition Amsterdam highlights:

  • Legendary F1® cars: Get close to iconic Formula 1® cars from different eras, each a masterpiece of engineering and design.
  • Dutch history: Fans and motorsport enthusiasts can look forward to a brand-new and exclusive experience, as the Amsterdam exhibition celebrates the significant contribution the Netherlands has made to motorsport, highlighting its legendary drivers and iconic race track.
  • Stateof-the-art racing simulators: Using official F1® gaming equipment, visitors will have the chance to race around the iconic Zandvoort track.
  • Interactive installations: Explore the world of F1® technology through hands-on activities and innovative displays.
  • Exclusive content: View exclusive archive video footage, interviews from the sport’s greatest contributors, and historic memorabilia that bring Formula 1®’s greatest moments to life.

Visitors start their journey in Once Upon A Time In Formula 1®, a gallery experience showcasing the sport’s most defining moments. Design Lab then takes fans inside a F1® factory, featuring contributions from Pirelli, Williams Racing, McLaren Racing, Oracle Red Bull Racing, Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team, and Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber.

 

Drivers and Duels tells the stories of legendary drivers and rivalries, with highlights including over 100 helmets and a 2025 Max Verstappen race suit and helmet. Revolution By Design explores the sports groundbreaking innovations and the future of F1®, with contributions from McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes AMG Petronas, and F1 Academy Managing Director Susie Wolff, plus more.

 

Visitors then enter Survival where the remains of Romain Grosjean’s burnt out HAAS race car from his dramatic 2020 crash in Bahrain serve as a homage to the safety innovations in the sport. The show then reaches its climax at The Pit Wall – a cinematic and immersive experience that allows fans to relive the greatest moments in Formula 1® history. Details of a seventh room dedicated to the significant contribution the Netherlands has made to motorsport will be revealed in the coming weeks.

 

Tickets & Practical Information

Exclusive waitlist pre-sale tickets go on sale at 10am CET on Wednesday 26th February, and full public on-sale at 10am CET on Friday 28th February.

 

Ticket prices start from €31.50 for general admission (17+) and €17.50 for children (ages 5-16). Group bookings and special VIP Podium tickets are also available, as well as opportunities for exclusive corporate events.
